Nova Lei de Imigração

NOTICE FOR FOREIGN CHILDREN FROM VISA EXEMPT COUNTRIES ENTERING OR DEPARTING SOUTH AFRICA

With effect from November 2019, foreign children from visa exempt countries entering or departing the Republic of South Africa are waived from complying with provisions of regulation 6(12B)(c) of the Immigration Regulation, 2014. This means that foreign visa exempt children are no longer required to present a birth certificate, parental consent letter or other supporting documentation such as death certificate or court order when traveling with one parent/legal guardian or someone other than a parent/legal guardian.

The waiver is granted on condition that all other requirements for entry and departure from South Africa shall be complied with.
